SCALING HONI:
START: 190.4
LAST WEEK: 183.8
THIS WEEK: 183 I am randomly picking this weight I could not get the scale to weigh me a consistant weight.. I went from 183 all the way to 185.5 .. and then I kept getting EE for error.. so go figure.. I have had that friggin scale for about 10 years.. . maybe its time for a new scale... in fact my sweet husband said go to Bed Bath and Beyond and get a new scale with one of our wedding gift cards he thinks the battery in this scale might be shot since once it gives you a weight it shuts off barely letting you see the numbers lol.. that should have been a sign to me lol.. anyhow .. we still have about 10 gift cards left from the wedding we have not used yet..

FOOD PICTURES ~ Here is Dinner from Tuesday night I stirfried chicken with a little olive oil , greek seasoning and garlic pepper seasoning and a little Bountiful Tuscon ( not sure if that is the name of not of the dressing) dressing.. then I mixed it with the Zuch, Squash, and Vidalia onion which had been sauted in olive oil.. very lightly....

1. Go slow and steady ~ Surprise: Panting and wheezing reduces your odds of success. An Iowa State University study found that overweight women enjoyed walking more at a pace they chose than when researchers bumped up the intensity even 10% over that speed. Pick a level that feels good and you'll be more likely to exercise regularly.
2. Keep it low impact ~Less stress on joints helps to avoid injuries, especially if you have a lot of weight to lose. Try walking--it's easy, affordable, and great for your heart and waistline. Swimming, cycling, and elliptical training are also good joint-friendly options.
3. Inch up ~Gradually Start with 10 minutes 3 or 4 days a week, then increase your time by 5 minutes each week until you're clocking at least 30 minutes per session.
4. Listen to your body ~Fatigue, burning in your muscles, and slight breathlessness are normal. But gasping for air, dizziness, fainting, nausea, and sharp or shooting pain are signals to stop exercising and check with your doctor. To make over your body, remember the story of the tortoise and the hare. Baby steps work!

exercise is hell to keep on routine - if you allow yourself to skip one - it's so easy to skip the next one

just like eating one bad meal - it begets the next one - soon it's a whole week

exercise advice from your post: "Go slow and steady"

exactly

i see the idiot skinny athletic trainers at my health club put highly overweight people on "serious regime" without understanding that it'll never stick. that the pain of keeping up their bullshit book mandated levels of loss is less important than the psychological hurdle of just getting out and exercising

these skinny little bags not understanding the terror it causes in most overweight people (especially women) to get into exercise clothes and show their bodies in the midst of highly athletic people...

[rant]

slow and steady

it took a lot of years to get there - it'll take a few years to get down from there

We need a mattress so bad. Its on the *get it list* but its down a ways from the 500 other things that keep jumping ahead of it lol. Ours is shot *sigh*

I cant wait for the farmers market to start up here. I don't think it starts till July though. This year it could be even later if this cold , crappy weather keeps up.

Hope you have a WONDERFUL weekend!!

1. I LOVE open-faced tomato sandwiches. I wish HG ate better. If I make one of those veggie sandwiches, I end up having to make something that's cloven hoofed. (Yes. He's actually uttered those words more than once in my presence.)

2. Congrats on the loss!! Woo hoo!

3. Your card arrived today! I opened the envelope for Buddha and handed him the card AND envelope. He opened the card and audibly gasped! He loved the ice cream cones! And he took the stickers off of the envelope and made me stick them on my visors up front so he could see them all the time.

Thank you!! You're a love!

The advice on exercise is right on the mark. Pick something you like and do it! But I would say that it doesn't hurt to challenge yourself a bit. I've found with my running program that the little challenges turn out to be a lot worse than I thought and I'm amazing myself at what I've been able to do.

Glad your headache is on the mend!
